Tuition and Rates
2023 School Year Tuition
We offer a variety of daily schedules (listed below). Our center is open 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We also offer a choice between our full Peppermint Tree calendar (only closed major holidays) or the Toms River School System calendar-in which your child only attends The Peppermint Tree on Toms River School days. The Toms River school system calendar is less expensive on a monthly basis. Tuition is determined on a school year basis, and split into 10 equal monthly payments. Please obtain calendars from the office. On a space available basis, extra days may be added upon office approval. For those on the Toms River schedule, extra full days are charged at $67.00 ($73.00/Early Learners), and extra half days are charged at $55.00 ($60.00/Early Learners).

A monthly fee for each K-5th grade child will be determined based on scheduled hours @ $11.50 per hour.
This school year, Toms River Public Schools have not built-in snow days to their calendar as they have in the past, so we have done the same. We will end our school year on the same day as TR Schools, as long as they don’t go later than Wednesday, 6/21/23. If there are no snow days, the last day of school will be on Friday, 6/16/23. In that case, we will offer “mini” camp during the week of 6/19/23. Mini-camp are extra days and not included in camp or school tuition.
We will make up, up to three snow days and end school on Wednesday, 6/21/23, if snow days are used. Beyond three snow days, there will be no make-ups for additional snow days and NO CREDIT for additional snow days. Any days Toms River Schools adds to the end of the school calendar beyond Wednesday, 6/21/23, (if they have more than 3 snow days) will not be included in our school tuition.
No credit or make ups can be provided for daily absence during the school year, no matter what the reason.
First day of school : Same day as Toms River Regional Schools: 9/6/2022.
Summer Camp 2023
Three 3-week sessions
Mon. – Fri. 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Schedule Notes: We offer two daily schedules, full or half day. Children may register for as few as 2 days per week or up to 5 days per week. On a space available basis, extra days may be added upon office approval. Extra full days are charged at $68.00 each/5 years and up as of 6/26/23, $74 each/2.5-4 years as of 6/26/23.
We will offer “Mini-Camp” days on June 19-23, paid as extra days (see daily rates), if snow days are unused for any days in between the end of school and camp. The swimming pool is not open during “Mini-Camp”. (Tentative last day of school is Friday, June 16, 2023.)

Extra Hours (or any part of an hour over 15 minutes) are charged at $12.00 per hour for 5 year-olds and up by 6/26/23, and $13.00 per hour for 2.5-4 year-olds by 6/26/23.

There are no tuition credits given for absences, vacation or illness.
