The Peppermint Tree Child Development Center has won another award!

This time, from the NJ Department of Education’s MAP to Inclusive Child Care Team. The award recognizes us for outstanding work providing compassionate inclusive child care.

The name of the award is “The Rose Annussek Award” and we are honored and proud to be the state’s only child care center recipient of this award for 2014.

The award presentation took place on May 21, 2014 in Woodbridge, NJ:

We are proud to be this year’s child care center award recipient for the state of NJ!   Including children with varying needs comes naturally to us, as we see every child as a unique and special individual.  We differentiate instruction so that each child gets support and educational challenges at their developmental level.  In the same way that a special needs child deserves accommodations for their needs, an academically advanced child also deserves appropriate challenges to remain enthusiastically engaged.   Every child moves along the developmental continuum at an appropriate pace for them.  And most importantly, everyone is welcome and everyone belongs!
